Paradox of Origin - Jenny Treveney

Jenny Treveney, a young, 10 year old girl who lived the life as a normal child with her family, until one day her life changed forever as he gained powers no ordinary child would have, using them for her own needs. This is her origin story.

Before this day, Jenny lived a fairly average life. She went to school, but didn't actually pay attention too much. She had parents that argued too much, one of which an alcoholic. Her father. While the other worked to support the family. Her mother. Jenny had heard them argue about her brother once, but didn't remember actually ever having a brother.
Anyway, today was a Saturday and she planned on playing soccer with the neighborhood kids for most of the day. As of this moment she was all dressed and eating a meager breakfast of a bowl of cereal, by herself, and waiting for her friends to come by and walk to the school soccer field together.

Jenny had finished her meal and went to the sink to drop her bowl in it. When she did, she heard a knock at the front door of her house.

Jenny hurried to the door and opened it. Without greeting her friends she jogged to the sidewalk and headed towards the school. "Hurry up or we'll be late!"

Her two friends closed the door to Jenny's house and ran out onto the sidewalk behind her. One was a girl and the other a boy. "Everyone else is already at the field." The girl said, her name was Samantha. She and Jenny started running down the sidewalk with the boy tailing after, his name was John.

"When we get there we tell them it's John's fault for waking up late," Jenny told Samantha.
When they reached the field a boy, named Matthew, approached them. He looked quite angry. "We were supposed to start this game 10 minutes ago, where have you been?!" Matthew fumed. A few grumbles from the other kids could be heard as well.
"Sh," Jenny said,"Do you hear that? It's the sound of me not caring." There were a few more grumbles from the other kids, but Matthew didn't respond. "Anyway, it was John's fault," she continued with a shrug,"Same teams as last time, right?"

John kept his head low. Samantha spoke up. "Sure, that sounds like fun, same teams as last time!" She shouted out to the others and everyone got into positions on the field.

With that the game started, Jenny on the same team as Matthew and Samantha and John on the other team. At lunch time they decided to take a break. The score wasn't looking too good at 0-10 Samantha's team winning.

"We're not doing too good, eh?" Matthew asked Jenny as he opened up a water bottle and drank from it.

"Shut up, Matthew."  Jenny snatched his water bottle and dumped it on his head, then stormed away.  She sat by herself on a bench opposite to where the other kids where, not in the mood to talk to anyone.  Honestly she was about ready to yell at every on her team and not.

Jenny sat there for a few minutes until everyone decided halftime was over.

Walking back over to the other kids Jenny marched right up to Matthew and stomped on his foot.  "You better get your frickin' act together!" she barked in his face, and shaking a finger at him like an angry mother.  She stepped away and addressed every else on her team as well.  "That goes for everyone, we better one or I'll dunk every single frickin' one of you in a toilet!"  After that she walked back out onto the field and waited for them to continue the game.

Matthew had his eyebrow raised as he stared at the others and then at Jenny. The others looked at each other and looked as though they were either scared or irritated. They went onto the field and started playing again.

Throughout the rest of the game Jenny threw a small fit every time Samantha's team got a point, her mood got worse and worse until the end of the game. Jenny's team had lost 23 to nothing, because 10 year olds don't keep score like professionals. Now Jenny was shouting at all of the kids, kicking and punching them too.

"Hey!" Matthew shouted across to Jenny. "Don't you think you should dial it down?" He sounded angry at Jenny's attitude, a few kids around him nodded.

"Me?!" Jenny snarled,"You're the one that lost the game! All of you!"

"What if we lost the game because of you?" He replied, sounding angry.

"Because I'm better than you!" Jenny yelled back. This time she advanced on him and grabbed his collar. "Do you understand?"

"Is that a threat?" Matthew snickered. "I don't think a girl can hurt me." The others around him went silent.

"It's a fact!" Jenny spat in his face and pushed him back so he fell over. "In fact I'm better than every one here!"

A few kids mumbled and shook their heads. "Don't you think you're getting to full of yourself?" Samantha asked.

"No! I'm just stating facts!" Jenny shouted. They didn't believe she was better? How could they!? It was all Matthew's fault, he must've spread rumors about her!

A few kids mumbled and helped Matthew up to his feet. Matthew started speaking again. "It's just a game, and it isn't even fun anymore, so I might as well head home." He turned and walked away, the rest of the kids talked among themselves and went off in their own ways, they were heading home as well. The only one's that remained in the field were Samantha, John, and Jenny.
